As Pplus Software Engineer you will collaborate with one of our largest Insurance customers. You will be involved on requirements gathering, designing, development, testing, maintenance, version upgrades, conversions, and migrations. We expect you to take ownership of your role, providing your expertise on processes improvement and best practices implementation, sharing your knowledge and ideas with the rest of the team. Essential Job Functions Coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation of moderately complex programs. Ensure team members create appropriate documentation for program code and technical documentation. Lead the design of systems and programs to address complex business requirements. Guide the team in preparing detailed specifications and ensure adherence to standards and technical specifications. Oversee technical analysis and component delivery. Direct the gathering of information from existing systems and guide the team in analyzing program and time requirements.
Collaborate with project managers to prepare accurate time estimates and justifications for tasks. Oversee the design of new programs or enhancements to existing ones. Ensure team members write specifications for programs of varying complexities. Guide the team in assisting support and project personnel in resolving program-related issues. Work closely with clients and management to address challenges and validate programming requirements. Lead the creation and implementation of test plans to verify the logic of new or modified programs. Oversee quality assurance activities, including conducting peer reviews to ensure program accuracy and efficiency.
