The Field Service Engineer role is an opportunity to start at the heart of the semiconductor industry with the opportunity for broad career growth. Your quick exposure to Applied Materials’ tools and technologies, internal operations and customer requirements can lead to future opportunities including senior field service roles, technical program management, to name a few. Your 4-month training rotation will begin at the heart of Applied Material’s Manufacturing in Austin, TX.
You will meet with your FSO New College Graduate Cohort and begin your training, starting with basic safety and workmanship training. You will then travel to one of Applied Materials' state-of-the-art training facilities to receive hands-on training. Hardware Training may be at an international or domestic facility, depending on business needs, and will be assigned after onboarding. Once your training is complete, you will head to your “home site, ” where you will work side-by-side with your new team to complete your Customer Engineer Certification.
