- Corrosion Engineering will support Ergon Armor's business, with a specific focus on chemical-resistant membranes, linings, flooring, tile adhesives and grouts, joint sealants, brick mortars, and concretes used in our industrial corrosion and wear product line.
Chemistries for these products include epoxy, vinyl ester, phenolic, furan, potassium silicate and other polymers; carbon-, silica-based and other fillers. The Technical Manager will interact with vendors, procurement, production, product stewardship, sales, and customers. Work is primarily hands-on in the laboratory. Supervision of other team members is likely in the future, as warranted by the growth of the business segment.
The Technical Manager will focus on product development/enhancement, property/performance testing, and quality/performance troubleshooting for a wide range of products.
They will oversee projects through completion and are required to ensure an efficient and technical services, including smooth workflow through the lab. The Manager must possess the ability to multi task, manage tasks in a deadline-driven environment, and display effective time management and organizational skills.
