The Headlines: The Associate Marketing Specialist in Denver, CO, interacts with sales, brand managers, marketing services, procurement, and suppliers to develop and activate local programming. This individual will also perform a range

of support duties related to the daily operations of the marketing department. This position reports to the Director of Marketing. The Responsibilities: Brand/Marketing Program Planning, Development & Coordination (40%) Work in tandem with the Marketing Team and brewery partners to develop/extend key consumer and retail programs, tools and POS into the different classes of trade.

Develop sales tools, communication tools, and marketing collateral materials to support key marketing and sales initiatives. Work with Marketing Director, Brand Managers and Brewery Partners to activate sponsorships, media buys, and added value where relevant. Seek regular input from the sale team in order to

identify gaps in support tools and work with the marketing team to create solutions.

Attend sales team meetings at least monthly with the purpose of sharing upcoming brand programming and resources, gain feedback on the effectiveness of programs and tools, and to identify and help solve for key opportunities and needs as they arise. Work closely with Sales and Marketing leadership team to ensure all tactics align with overarching CDC objectives and strategies. Assist with the management and tracking of display enhancers and/or consumer giveaways at retail. Assist with the development of industry, company, brand, and program related educational tools and resources as needed.

Work with the brand managers to plan and create channel specific marketing program calendars to help with program prioritization and feed program pitches. Work with Brand Managers/POS Manager to allocate or drive awareness of key POS pieces and ensure POS/Program tools are being appropriately leveraged. Key Account Programming & Account Development (40%) Work with Sales and Marketing Team on Key Account Planning and Activation. Responsible for tracking key account budgets, and for working with sales to effectively manage budgets below plan. Assist with major key account and retailer presentations.

Coordinate the activation of key sponsorships and media programming within assigned accounts where appropriate. Develop sales tools and sales collateral materials as needed to support key programs and initiatives for assigned accounts. Assist with key retailer meetings and presentation development Work with brand managers during the ABP process to outline annual plans and budgets for assigned accounts. Build relationships with assigned accounts and coordinate/attend planning meetings as needed to implement planned programming. Work directly with consumers on prize fulfillment as needed.

Assist with PO entry and receiving for major marketing initiatives as needed. Event Planning (10%) Assist with activation/coordination of company, brewery and brand specific events. Assist with ideation/activation of in market support for product launches & kick off meetings. Marketing Team Coordination & Support (10%) Assist with coordination and management of internally managed Promo Teams (getting proposals/quotes, entering PO’s creating kits, approving promotional requests, activation ideation, etc. ) Assist with PO entry and receiving as needed. Provide marketing support related to ongoing company initiatives as needed (newsletter, website, etc.

). Help with the coordination and set up for key internal meetings. Provide out-of-office back up support as needed for the Marketing Team Specialized focus on one or more of the following areas: beer education, specialty craft/import marketing support, off premise, on premise, sponsorships, media Could have limited brand management responsibilities for smaller, less complex breweries The Other Qualifications: BS / BA from a four-year college or university 1-3 Years Marketing or related experience Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

High level of personal accountability/results orientation Detail orientation and balance a variety of priorities. Intermediate Microsoft experience (Power Point, Word, Outlook, Excel) Expertise in beer and brewing processes – Cicerone certification (or desire to achieve certification) preferred. Experience building retail programming preferred. Experience in the beer business preferred. Basic graphics design knowledge/experience preferred. Experience with event coordination/activation preferred. Occasional evening and weekend activities to support key events and sponsorships.
