Monitor and report purchase price variances and evaluate reliability of supplier delivery time. Duties include: Manage day-to-day inventory planning for respective products; Use Oracle MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to process product output and planned product orders in a timely manner to support customer demand; Track work order shortages and expedite acquisition of materials; Work with internal engineering, sales and purchasing resources to develop best cost solutions for electronic and mechanical components; Work with global commodity team to assist with developing alternate supply sources; Work with Supplier Quality Engineer to develop and maintain supplier evaluation system to ensure
attainment of continuous supplier improvement; Reschedule and expedite purchase orders for production and service materials to meet customer delivery goals; Follow up on purchase orders and quotes for production materials, prepare summary and price comparison documentation, and place purchase orders for assigned commodities and suppliers as needed; and Communicate supplier performance, particularly On Time Delivery and Quality, including supplier visits as required.
Employee may work from home within commuting distance of worksite. 15-20% domestic travel within the U. S. Requirements: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
or a closely related field plus 3 years of experience performing supply chain planning and procurement in a high technology manufacturing environment.
Experience, which can be gained concurrently, must include: 3 years of experience performing purchasing, scheduling, material requirements planning, inventory management, risk management, supplier relationship management or manufacturing resource planning. 3 years of experience using electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and communicating needs to suppliers. 3 years of experience conducting in-depth engineering analysis and reading, understanding and conveying part blueprints/engineering drawings.
2 years of Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud experience. 3 years of experience using Lean principles and Kanban. 3 years of experience procuring robotic materials, components, equipment and services. 3 years of experience planning inventory purchases including pricing to mitigate demand. 3 years of experience tracking material shortages and rescheduling and expediting purchase orders to meet customer delivery goals. 3 years of experience analyzing demand forecasts and customer lead times for potential material supply risks. 3 years of experience identifying new suppliers and evaluating supplier performance.
