Duties: Report to the senior associate attorney, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the immigration team. Manage a caseload, handle client interactions, and collaborate with attorneys and legal assistants.

Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients. Represent both non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals. Effectively manage the workload of immigration cases, ensuring attention to detail and high-quality representation. Conduct visits and intakes with detained individuals at

centers. Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions. Review immigration applications/packets, making necessary adjustments for accuracy and completeness.

Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations to stay informed about changes in immigration law. Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients, determining necessary legal strategies. Develop case strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony. Provide legal analysis to clients, determining potential case benefits and options. Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration

cases. Act as a team player, actively participating in collaborative efforts and supporting fellow associates.

Utilize bilingual (English/Spanish) skills as needed. Requirements: Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school. Active Bar membership in the state of California. Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in immigration law. Skills: Strong legal research and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred. Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian, EOIR, legal writing, detained, citizenship, and other USCIS applications. Familiarity with case management software is preferred.
