Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Flight Test Engineer - Design Lead. This position will be located in Vandenberg Space Force Base, California and will support the Sentinel - Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You ' ll Get To Do: Responsible for planning,

designing, modeling, procuring, and testing the Launch Support System (LSS) for Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) Manage and lead a team consisting of mechanical/electrical/software engineers, and technicians who will perform installation, test, block updates, and checkout of equipment for the LSS network and associated hardware and software Lead and manage the team in connecting and sustaining the GBSD LSS sites Develop, perform, and document tests, includes test planning, test conduction, data analysis and documenting test results as part of the Flight Test Team Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for systems Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness and compliance of the test program Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal Help develop, evaluate, and update technical procedures Create technical reports and present test and analysis results Coordinate integrated testing activities working in a dynamic people-focused environment Interface with internal and external customers As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: Medical, Dental & Vision coverage 401k Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health & Wellness Resources Employee Discounts This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80.

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. You ' ll Bring These Qualifications: 14 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelors; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with Ph D; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

MS Office tools and Project Management experience Demonstrated experience in test planning and test execution Experience leading a team in project execution and/or driving performance against schedule These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo 3+ years of flight test experience ICBM experience a plus Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills; works well in a team environment within all levels of the test integrated team structure. #GBSDintandtest Salary Range: $149,900 - $224,900The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
