Responsibilities of this position include the following: Under direct supervision, provide accurate, timely, and known solutions to end user computer and networking problems of basic to moderately complex nature to ensure end-user productivity. Perform restorative and maintenance actions either remotely or at the end user’s location to resolve problems using basic

troubleshooting and technical skills. Respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment or software installations, moves, and configuration changes.

Maintain accurate information and data regarding end-user issues within the tracking system and according to policies and standards. Establish a working relationship and understanding of dedicated support area to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients and management. Develop, work through, and complete small projects as well as document processes and procedures according to corporate standards. Delegate responsibilities of the project to appropriate team members and

provide status to supervisors and clients. Perform other tasks as requested or assigned.

In addition to the above, the responsibilities of the Level 2 include the following: Provide independent end user technical support with a high degree of autonomy. Coordinate configuration/installation and troubleshooting of PC hardware and software. Implement hardware and software testing. Require ability to develop, work through, and complete technical projects. Able to document processes and procedures according to corporate standards. Provide status reports and problem summaries. Provide remote PC support and troubleshooting. Work with other IT departments as needed to support the IT infrastructure.

Can include installing and troubleshooting server and networking hardware. Position also acts as a liaison relating business issues to technical teams. Provide in-depth support for technology utilized in a dedicated assigned support area. Build positive working relationships with designated clients to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients and management. Requirements for this position include the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience. (Typically four years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a Bachelor’s degree.

A minimum of two years additional directly related technical experience is required. ) Basic hands-on experience in a technical support role that includes some desktop PC support responsibilities. Show basic competency in troubleshooting desktop device conflicts, connectivity issues, and application issues in a Windows operating system in a networked environment. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well independently and with others.

In Addition, Requirements of the Level 2 position include the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience. (Typically four years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a Bachelor’s degree. A minimum of three years additional directly related technical experience is required. ) Three years of hands-on experience in a technical support role which includes desktop support responsibilities. Excellent independent troubleshooting and resolution skills over multiple technologies.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well independently and with others. Ability to guide less experienced staff. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Intel based PC support, Cisco Call Manager, Microsoft Endpoint Management. A+ Certification or MCSE certifications preferred.
