Overview Seeking a Senior Director Cloud Engineering & Operations to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for strategizing, envisioning, designing, architecting, and deploying cloud assets and infrastructure, as well as leading a team of skilled architects, engineers and operations professionals. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background in cloud technologies, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering managing complex

cloud environments. The Senior Director, is a leader with a proven track record of leading teams directly or indirectly to improve relationships, deliver, and support technology solutions.

The job requires a transformational mindset with the ability to turn complex ideas and requirements into infrastructure solutions focused on delivering an exceptional experience for stakeholders. This role requires technical expertise in a complex technology environment with strong business acumen and a strategic solutioning mindset. Primary Responsibilities Cloud Strategy and Architecture: Design, architect and execute a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring scalability, performance, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness of the cloud infrastructure. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and operations personnel, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment while ensuring team members are motivated, engaged, and empowered to excel. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions using industry best practices, ensuring high availability, security, performance, reliability, resiliency, and scalability.

Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the cloud environment, including planning, executing and monitoring, incident response, capacity planning, and performance optimization. Automation and Dev Ops: Drive automation initiatives to streamline deployment, configuration management, and monitoring processes, promoting an " automation-first" culture within the team. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Vendor Management: Collaborate with cloud service providers and vendors to negotiate contracts, optimize costs, and stay up to date with the latest cloud offerings and trends. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements, cost savings, and performance optimization, and lead initiatives to implement improvements. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, data engineering, and IT operations, to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with other systems.

Fin Ops - demonstrate a strong sense of Fin Ops and establish policies and processes needed to hold product teams responsible for infrastructure consumption. Minimum/Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred 12+ years in infrastructure architecture, management, security, and related specialties Proven experience 8-10 years in cloud engineering and operations roles, with a deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of effectively leading technical teams in complex environments Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (Ia C) concepts and experience with tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible Experience with Site-Reliability Engineering practices (such as observability and log aggregation) using technologies such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Kibana, Kafka, Sumologic, and APM Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools such as Net App Cloud Insights, Op Manager, Zabbix or Datadog Extensive knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and associated tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, etc.

) Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, SQL, etc. ) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or similar, are a plus Physical Demands Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.
