engineering practices and the pursuit of design and service excellence. Position Responsibilities Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
Develop floor plans, schematics, schedules, diagrams and other documentation for electrical distribution and lighting systems, applying knowledge of engineering principles. Exercise independent judgment in the use of standard techniques, procedures and criteria such as ASHRAE, NFPA, International Building and Electrical Codes. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Assist drafters in developing the
electrical systems using drafting tools or computer-assisted design (CAD) or drafting equipment and software.
Observe construction activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Expectations / Requirements Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a four-year university required. 0-4 years of experience working with the application of all conventional aspects of electrical engineering related to design and installation of electrical power and lighting systems in office buildings, critical facilities, schools, healthcare facilities and/or related MEP Consulting Engineering.
Working familiarity and understanding of ASHRAE, NFPA and International Building and Electrical Codes required. Proficiency with Auto CAD and Revit CAD software required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. ) required.
