This
team focuses on building innovated data products and solutions for the entire drug discovery and development value chain: from target ID/Validation, molecule design, product development, clinical trial design, digital end points, clinical trial operations, and using real world data to advance portfolio.
Job Responsibilities Provide thought-leadership, management, and execution in the delivery of strategic and complex initiatives aimed at driving drug discovery, manufacturing, molecular data value realization in partnership with JRD Data Science Leadership Partner closely with JRD Data Science Portfolio Management team, Data Science AI/ML team and other key stakeholders across Janssen
R&D, engineering fit-for-purpose data science solutions for drug discovery to enable multifaceted use cases leveraging various data: from target identification/validation, lead identification, lead optimization, pre-clinical safety, efficacy, as well as pharmacokinetic properties.
Responsible for designing and executing JRD data science solutions for discovery that will drive target ID/Validation, drug design as well as knowledge synthesis Lead the team to establish and evolve coordinated and standardized data engineering processes, helping derive deep insights and timely informed decisions, in support of Janssen's therapeutic portfolio aligned to our vision Lead the team to develop and support scalable solutions in supporting drug design, product development using cutting-edge technologies Ph.
D or Master degree is desired in bioengineering, computer science, information technology public health, epidemiology, bioinformatics or related fields Strong business acumen in medical and /or Data Science, drug discovery and data product development/data science solution space in a company ranging from start-ups to consulting firms with established Data Science practices or large Fortune 500 companies. Experience leading change initiatives in a sizable organization(s) Ability to translate data into information and strategies into executable action plans Strong working experience in end-to-end data engineering process of drug discovery data Track of records working with high throughput screening data, omics, chemical and biological data for building data science solutions at scale Working experience with cutting-edge machine learning/deep learning model frameworks and deployment into business applications, e.
g. LLMs, Alpha Fold Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
