Complete engineering work in technology development, product design and development, test of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigation (animal and clinical studies), and report preparation.
Provide guidance to product, process, and technology development teams. Demonstrate Product Development Process / Technology Development Process system knowledge through coaching and delivery of quality, high impact deliverables. backss feasibility and
soundness of alternative engineering processes, products, or equipment. Coordinate, manage, and document project goals and progress and recommend appropriate revisions.
Train and/or provide work direction to less experienced engineers. May require to travel/telecommute. REQUIREMENTS: Employer requires a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field plus 24 months in job offered, Computational Structural Analyst, Associate Engineer, or related occupation. Experience must include: 1) FEA software usage - Abaqus, Ansys, Altair Hyper Mesh, 2)Verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification of computational models, 3) CAD package- Solid
Works, Pro-E, 4) Coding software - MATLAB, Python, 5) Nonlinear structural analysis involving contact interactions, large deformations, material plasticity, hyperelasticity, and especially superelastic Nitinol material behavior, 7) Collaborated with cross-functional teams to coordinate Design of Experiments, perform Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode & Effect Analysis during field failure investigations 8) Performed virtual design of experiments, sensitivity analysis, and optimization, and 9) Mechanical testing and digital image correlation.
