serve as a Project Director in our highly productive research group.
Primary responsibilities will be related to a newly funded NIH/NCI R01 focused on implementing and evaluating a multicomponent, multilevel UCLA health system intervention that uses artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and electronic health record technologies to improve care for UCLA Health patients at elevated risk for colorectal cancer.
This individual will join a collegial research team including UCLA faculty and undergraduate and graduate students from UCLA schools of medicine and public health. Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator, the Project Director will manage the
full range of research project activities at UCLA Health, including coordinating and managing mixed methods data collection activities; development and deployment of data collection tools; intervention implementation; training and supervising part-time project staff as needed; maintaining detailed and accurate documentation of all research project activities; developing agendas, presentations and supporting documentation for research team meetings; maintaining all necessary UCLA IRB approvals; drafting progress and annual reports required by the funding agency; actively participating in the development of presentations and manuscripts for academic and community audiences.
Additional opportunities
in this position include participation in other public health, health services research, and clinical research projects as needed in our Center, authoring papers (including first-author), and development of one's own research portfolio related to cancer prevention and control research.
