26 NOS is to operate and defend the Air Force (AF) Enterprise computer network consisting of the AF Wide Area Network (WAN) routers, AF Network Increment 1 (AFNET Inc 1) Gateways, and the 26 NOS Local Area Network (LAN) assets. Primary Responsibilities Requires advanced experience with Veritas Net Backup, SAN attached storage, tape libraries, and other enterprise level backup hardware.
Must be familiar with and able to utilize industry and vendor best practices. Will be required to create reports, improve/create processes/procedures, monitor system health, optimize system performance, proactively fix issues, architect systems, respond and resolve network anomalies and attacks, conduct
trending and analysis, and other tasks as assigned. Must have experience with Windows and Linux operating systems. Experienced with applying DOD STIGs to backup/recovery systems.

from one platform to another. document specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results Monitor and maintain all backup infrastructure including serves, tape libraries and disk arrays.
Coordinate with Vendors on issues with software, hardware or the interaction between the two. Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis of backup infrastructure. Deploy Projects to upgrade existing infrastructure or deploy new system to increase performance or capacity. Respond to and resolve escalated customer related issues. Utilize scripting skills and in-depth knowledge of both Net Backup, Google Actifio, EMC Data Domain, EMC Networker and IBM Tape libraries.
Basic Qualifications Technical degree, or Associates degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, S. T. E. M. or 2-4 years’ relevant experience in Information Technology preferably within systems or applications administration is acceptable Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience providing successful administration of backup/recovery environments. Active Secret government security clearance required. DOD 8570 required: (Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, CCNA-Security) O/S certification required: V OS certification: Veritas VCS-Administration of Veritas backup and Appliances (Exam VCS-285 and Exam VCS-284) Pay Range: Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
