Primary accountabilities include: Transformation Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy that encompasses automation, network evolution, and digital solutions. Align it with the company's long-term objectives and industry trends.
Architecture Development: Lead the conceptualization of the automation blueprint and network delivery architecture, providing thought leadership in Telco Network automation and related technologies and standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration across teams and departments within Optus Networks, ensuring alignment with the architecture roadmap and technology-led
transformation vision. Technology Trends: Stay updated on industry forums and standards, incorporating their adoption within Digital Networks, including but not limited to: TMForum, ETSI, ITIL.
Solution Integration: Lead the design and modelling of tactical architectures for projects, collaborating with external vendors for scalable solutions. Governance and Compliance: Establish and uphold architectural policies, standards, and guidelines to enforce consistency across the organization's framework. Ensure alignment with cybersecurity and other relevant policies. Thought Leadership: Provide guidance to senior leaders across various Optus divisions, advocating for " Extreme Automation"
to support the digital transformation of Optus.
Dev Ops Expertise: Leverage expertise in Network-Dev Ops, innovative thinking, agile operations, and Carrier-Grade Multi-Service IP Transport Network Architectural skills to set the automation foundation. Lead Role: Play a lead role in Optus' transition to the future IP Network, delivering the IPNE automation strategy for integration into a production network environment. End-to-End Solutions: Co-lead the design and development of Dev Ops and network solutions for end-to-end planning, design, deployment, provisioning, and operational engineering functions. 10+ years’ experience in Design or Automation Architectural role. Solid experience with well-known Enterprise Architecture frameworks (i. e TOGAF). Significant experience in Digital Transformation programs. Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering. Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills. Experience architecting networking infrastructure in Cloud, Web and System solutions. In-depth experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools - Terraform, Ansible etc. Knowledge of automated Paa S and Iaa S cloud deployment and management. Demonstrated experience of leading software solution design, development and implementation initiatives.
Experience in REST API, JSON, YAML, HTTP and micro-services design and build. Excellent understanding of virtual/cloud networks with interest to NFVi, VNFs, VIM and Orchestration.
