Summary The Area Sales Manager Combo leads the execution of sales initiatives across Large and Small Store
accounts. Most important decisions made fully independently. The Area Sales Manager, Combo is responsible for execution in the field, coordination across functions, and providing inspirational leadership to the Large, Small, or Combo Store Sales team.
Responsibilities Community & Government Relations: Represent Company in local government/community forums, as needed, on issues that impact our business. Drive Live Positively initiatives in the field. Provide inspirational leadership and ensure execution of all engagement initiatives (e. g. Town Halls) across the MU to drive strong employee engagement. Culture and Customer: Accountable for employee engagement events and activities for the
Large, Small or Combo Store Sales Team. Build relationships at the MU, Sales Area level of Operations.
Execute local, regional, and national plans. Sell and ensure compliance with CMA agreements. Commercial. Executing commercial and price package plans within approved guardrails. Field Sales Execution: Fully responsible for sales execution in all local, regional, and national Large and Small store home market accounts. Responsible for the execution of all sales priorities, e. g. RED, SMO. Understand P&L and manage budgets. Primary accountability for trade execution. People Management: Responsible for identifying and developing core talent, including stewardship of the People Development Forum at the DSM and Account Manager level.
Coach and develop the team of direct reports while ensuring a culture of learning and development exists throughout the Large and Small Store selling organization. Coach and develop the Large, Small, or Combo Store Sales team. Spend a lot of time leading, teaching, and coaching Customer Management. Execute and fulfill all channels, packages, and pricing plans provided by the Commercial Leadership COE. Provide a feedback loop to the Director of Sales on marketplace conditions (includes competition, channel plans, pricing, architecture).
Responsible for relationships with Large and Small home market accounts serving as the connection point with store-level leadership in operations. Regular interaction with Customers at the District and Regional level. Accountable for selling in and adherence to calendar marketing agreements. Provide feedback to the national customer teams. Supply Chain: Drives collaboration between supply chain and field sales execution including sales/delivery route planning. Serves as a key enabler for Supply Chain initiatives. Collaborative relationship. Qualifications BS/BA (or equivalent). 5 - 7 years of experience.
Including 3+ years of sales management experience leading a sales team. CMA selling experience is required.
