This position will serve as the INDOPAC USSF Space Component lead for Aerospace. It will be part of Aerospace’s Space Systems Architecture Division, Enterprise Interoperability Subdivision, Warfighter Integration Office. The position will also serve as a point of contact
with the INDOPAC Combatant Command for Aerospace’s Defense Systems Operations Division. We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated leader to support the planning, analysis, exercises, test and execution of space operations in the Pacific theater.
The successful candidate will provide analysis-based products and recommendations on space capabilities and theater space effects to support Combatant Command and USSF Service Component strategic and operational planning, as well as support to identification and transition of innovative concepts and capabilities to create warfighting impact. Technical depth in the application and capability of space systems, mission analysis
and experience with Pacific operations is required. The effort will include identification, development, and recommendation of capability needs and improvements.
Work Location : This position requires full time on-site work in classified government facilities in Oahu, HI and is not compatible with teleworking What You’ll Be Doing Provide space technical and operational expertise and analytic support to USSF INDOPAC Space Component and INDOPACOM staffs. Successful candidate will develop and maintain contacts and close working relationships with key staff members and associated personnel, as well as key USSPACECOM & USSF organizations and operational space partners.
Candidate will a pply leadership and space system expertise to ensure Aerospace analytic resources, tools and expertise are identified and matched with theater’s operational and planning , technical and capability development needs. Candidate will work collaboratively in a multi-level classification environment with interagency, military, and civilian communities in the planning, conduct and interpretation of analysis to shape theater space employment plans and development in support of the integrated joint fight. This role requires strong communication skills and a transformative attitude.
Utilize in-depth technical knowledge to integrate space effects in support of Pacific operations Provide domain expertise on integrated, multi-domain, system of system capabilities in the USSF portfolio Identify, develop and recommend needs for USSF component operational processes Support planning and execution of space play in theater/command/component exercises and wargames Network and collaborate across USSF, other services, government agencies, FFRDCs, UARCs and SETA contractors Assist staffs in defining and articulating space capability needs to support theater warfighting plans and objectives Coordinate technical and analytical efforts across program/project lines utilizing technical expertise from across the Aerospace backplane.
Leading Aerospace concept exploration and program definition studies for USSF capabilities and USSF materiel solutions to support CCMD missions including USSPACECOM and USINDOPACCOM Advocate for CCMD requirements to enable the acceleration of technology and concepts that facilitate rapid prototype solutions Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members, with leadership, customers, support contractors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in science, mathematics, engineering, or other technical field Minimum 12 years of progressive relevant technical or operational experience in space systems, space operations, theater/joint military operations, systems integration, Space Electromagnetic Warfare operations, or combined experience in multiple areas Functional awareness of USSF warfighting capabilities and operations Understanding of the theater space interaction within JADC2, CSp OC and NSDC Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to network, build and work within diverse, multi-disciplinary teams This position requires the immediate eligibility for Top Secret/SCI, which is issued by the U.
S. government. U. S. citizenship required is to obtain a security clearance.
