resolution of deficiencies as well as programmatic and technical risks. Perform Material Condition backssments (MCA) for In-Service vessels in the AWS fleet conducted during the vessels On Condition Cyclic Maintenance (OCCM) availabilities. Assist Government representatives for both in-service and new construction vessels with design/construction analysis activities for regulatory body compliance and fact-of-life changes.
Review and assist as required with Functional and Detail Design and Construction contract documents and design efforts. Participate in project meetings, prepare comments for, and participate in Design Reviews, Pre-Award contract Activities, SSV, SPPC and other related
meetings. Generate cost estimates and develop work packages to support Government initiated work items. Provide assistance on technical issues as needed in all contract and shipbuilding phases.
Provide onsite support to interface with government/shipbuilder in accordance with ACO/PCO and Program Office Guidelines. Review and provide comments on assigned DRLs, including schedules, CPIRs, TECHMANS, DWGS, Test Agendas and all other vendor required DRL's. Review shipyard schedules and provide production and schedule status. Coordinate and assist with ECPs, including input to TARs, cost estimating, and progressing with local Project Office. Provide specific Acceptance Test Plan coordination
including comments on overall plan, test procedures and trial agendas.
Perform onsite production inspections, witness testing, and provide test status, and test and trials activities. Identify technical and contract deficiencies and proposed means for resolution. Provide biweekly production progress tracking and reports. Other duties as assigned. Potential travel around 50% of the time at various shipyard, customer and/or ECS locations. Required Skills: Must have minimum 10 yrs experience in the maritime industry. Familiarity with the SLEP/OCCM processes. Familiarity with the MCA process for in-service Government owned marine vessels. Excellent communication (written and verbal).
Experience operating and troubleshooting marine systems. Experience reading and applying technical specifications, drawings, and technical manuals to solve technical issues. Experience with MS Teams, MS Office Suite, ACAD, Rhino, Primavera, MS Project Scheduler, other engineering sw packages Experience supporting Program and Contract Management activities. Experience with Government Acquisition and Contracting Energetic, enjoys a fast-paced and continually changing environment. Detail oriented. Willing to go the extra mile with a " can-do" attitude. BS (Engineering/Technical Field ) US Citizen Public Trust Clearance Desired Skills: Familiarity with level 1 diminishing material processes for Do D.
