employees. Coordinate manufacturing requirements with schedulers, supervisors, and attend daily production meeting. Assist supervisors in assigning employees to specific work stations and tasks, utilizing them in the most effective manner while assuring schedules are met with a minimum of overtime and within sales expectations.
Assist supervisors on all equipment and staffing requirements and other miscellaneous issues. Advise Operations Manager. Enforce safety regulations, investigate incidents, complete incidents reports as required and eliminate potential and actual safety hazards. Work with supervisors and staff to assure housekeeping standards are maintained. Assure cost controls
are in place for production supplies. Assist supervisors in the designing and implementing process improvement controls that increase plant productivity.
Ensure that raw material outages / shortages are reported to plant buyers in a timely manner. Assure the following shift is properly stocked with supplies and that materials are in sufficient quantities on the production floor to assure a smooth start-up. Review and approve time card hours and turn in totaled time cards for every pay period. Time cards are to be turned in to HR/Payroll department before 8:30am every Monday morning. Maintain a complete understanding of emergency response plans in the event of spills or other similar disasters.
Coordinate maintenance schedule and ensure project completion in a timely manner. Communicate improper equipment operation or downtime to maintenance and coordinate required repairs. Perform annual evaluations and work with supervisors in performing their annual evaluations. Administer training for manufacturing employees and assist supervisors in the same. Input inventory transactions and monitor BAAN for accuracy. Monitor employee performance, coach, council, motivate and discipline as necessary.
