State University Advancement is seeking a Director of Development to join their team. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Development, the Director of Development will focus on identifying and cultivating prospects with an emphasis on gifts of $25,000 and above.
The Director will backss the interests and desires of these prospects and work to align their philanthropy with the various divisions and departments within the College of Osteopathic Medicine and College of Health Sciences. and carries an active portfolio of 40 - 60 prospective donors. Engages in qualification, strategy development, relationship building, and closing of gifts at $25,000+ for the College of Osteopathic Medicine and College of Health Sciences.
Participates in goal setting, proposal preparation, strategy development, and stewardship as required for donors in the portfolio. Successfully and consistently deliver funding proposals to prospective and current donors. Effectively work with, communicate with, and collaborate with faculty, academic leaders, and other development colleagues to develop campus-wide funding opportunities and reach goals. Maintains appropriate electronic documentation
on a timely basis, including engagement activities, proposal tracking, contact reports, donor strategies, and forecasting.
Demonstrates ability to execute successful full-cycle donor strategy. Willingness to collaborate and work as part of a team. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsible for answering incoming email, incoming and outgoing phone and chat calls regarding generator service needs.
Offers products and services that meet customer needs. Also, handles some administrative activities for the Power Generation service sales organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS •Accountability for identifying generator service leads by customers within assigned industry, segment, product category and geographic area.
