Responsibilities and Duties Conduct functional behavior backssments (FBA), VB MAPP, AFLS and ABLLS-R backssments. Develop treatment plan based on the findings of the FBA using evidence-based practices.
Provide clinical supervision of BHT or RBT workers performing the following duties: Direct 1:1 ABA therapy in the home, school and community environments. Implementation of individualized treatment plans and programs as written by the supervising BCBA. Collect data during each session with the client reduction of challenging behaviors--aggression, property destruction,
tantrums, etc. Analyze data to adapt and adjust programming. Provide support to parents, teachers, or community officials. Provide role model appropriate behaviors.
Provide clinical support to direct care staff. Implement consequences relating to appropriate and inappropriate behavior. Establish coordination of communication with other supporting agencies. Exchange information clearly and concisely with the appropriate parties and concerns. Complete and submit all paperwork including documentation of session notes, encounter logs, treatment plans and backssments in a timely manner. Qualifications and Skills BACB Certification in good standing. Behavior Specialist License is required.
Master's Degree (MS or MA) in a mental health field and one (1) year documented paid experience working with children, adolescents or youth.
Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background and FBI Clearances must be obtained. (Matrix) will assist you in obtaining these clearances. Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Program. Behavior Consultants will assist in the design and implementation of treatment plans and other intervention plans, as well as direct the quality of the treatment activities of the Mobile Therapists and Behavioral Health Technicians.
Working as a Behavior Consultant with CORA, you will: Meet with the child, family, school staff and other involved persons to develop treatment goals, objectives and interventions that are appropriate and fit the particular needs of the child and family. Participate as a member of the treatment team by providing service directly to the child and/or family in the home, school, or other community programs or settings.
Coordinate the overall clinical direction of treatment for the children assigned to caseload, in collaboration with family and other treatment professionals.
Serve as a resource to the child, family, treatment team, school and Behavioral Health Technicians in crisis and problem situations to develop a crisis plan and resolution. Complete Functional Behavior backssments and utilize data for the purpose of progress monitoring and revision of treatment interventions. Collaborate with schools, families, funding source representatives and internal/external resources as appropriate. Provide clinical supervision for the assigned Behavioral Health Technicians, providing guidance and support in
delivery of services. Work cooperatively with school staff to promote positive behavior by providing professional development that targets research, strategies, and modeling evidence-based practices to support teachers in their implementation or positive behavior support in their classrooms.
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, including but not limited to progress notes, treatment plans, backssments, and discharge summaries.
