Job Responsibilities Performs on-the-job training in a variety of nursing care functions, such as administering medications, monitoring vital signs and examining individuals in custody utilizing nursing backssment skills and techniques. Receives formal training on how to backss patient progress. Minimum Qualifications Requires graduation from an approved nursing education program resulting in an associate or diploma degree in nursing or a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Illinois. Preferred Qualifications (In Order of Significance) Prefers at least one (1) year of nursing experience in a correctional setting. Prefers at least one (1) year of experience working in mental health. Prefers at least one (1) year of experience problem solving in a nursing position.
